On my way to Bainbridge Island, I decided to stop in the small town of Suquamish. I had intended to dine at Agate Pass Café, but it was closed. So I wandered in next door to Sully’s Bistro & Bar and was thrilled when I saw they had an outdoor patio. Why? Because it was a Pacific Northwest 70ish degree day and sunny. Discovering Sully’s turned out to be an excellent change of plans.
Foodie Friday: Sully’s Bistro & Bar
The patio has an amazing view of the Puget Sound and for several minutes I enjoyed my beer and dose of Vitamin D. When Caroline, my server, stopped back by we talked about the menu. Everything is made fresh and to order, and products are locally sourced. (Bonus!) I told her I wanted something light like their Sully’s spinach salad, but I wanted a heartier meal too and therefore was having a hard time deciding. She suggested adding on grilled shrimp to the salad, which for some reason is something I never think about.
It turned out to be one of the best menu suggestions I’ve had all year.
There was lots of seating inside as well and a neat bar that made a curved shape. The bar was packed with people so I decided not to take a photo. Caroline said that Taco Tuesdays are one of their busiest days with lines out the door. She also said one of their popular dinner items is the Big Fat Ribeye. As you can imagine, I’ve decided I need to go back for both of these. They also have a Monday lunch special which is a 1/4 burger with fries and a domestic draft for $10, bingo on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., and at 9 p.m. on Fridays Karaoke and sometimes live music.
